The Internote project aims to provide world-class educational material and experiences for free — unmarred by commercialisation, sensationalism, or influence.

Education should be freely accessible, high-quality, and driven by genuine learning outcomes—not profit margins or engagement metrics. Internote is built on this principle: a platform where educators and learners create, organise, and share interactive educational content without commercial interference or algorithmic sensationalism.

At its core, Internote is a toolkit for interactive learning. You create internotes—richly formatted documents combining text, code, visualisations, checkboxes, and quizzes. You organise them into maps to show conceptual relationships and create learning pathways. You share publicly with the world, privately with specific people, or keep your work to yourself. The platform gets out of the way and lets your educational content speak for itself.

Every feature in Internote is designed around learning outcomes. We track engagement (views, likes, bookmarks, completions) to help content creators understand what resonates, and to surface content worth learning from. We save your progress so you can resume learning where you left off. But we don't track you for advertising. We don't manipulate you with algorithms designed to maximise screen time. We don't sell your data. What you create is yours, and what you learn is between you and the platform.
